Can't Stop App Reviews

I really like the game Cant Stop. The implementation looks nice, but the game cant seem to add simple numbers. I rolled four fives and the 10 column was active, but the game said I crapped out. I noticed similar addition problems during the one game I played. Once the publisher fixes this error it will be an awesome game. Update: I tried playing again, and its worse than it was. The game cannot do simple math, does not move markers in a column when you choose a number, and generally is completely useless. A waste of money.

Love this game but really hate it when the computer doesnt let me take legitimate rolls. Also weird when the AI skips its turn. Im also not a big fan of the whirling dervishes--theyre distracting. Just too much going on. Looking forward to an update.

Great game. I made a homemade set years ago when I couldnt find a commercial version in stores. I love the game show atmosphere of the app. It seems very appropriate to the feel of the game and the time when it was first released. There are some occasional bugs, which is frustrating. Inability to place a runner on an available column, having one of your runners assigned to an unavailable number even when you have chosen a different option... these are little things that spoil an otherwise enjoyable time. I hope Playdek addresses these issues soon.

Better, the AI works faster and its not as stupid as it was before the update. If you want me to give this game five stars, youre going to have to include online multiplayer.

Still no way to stop the spinning background. I can play for about five minutes before nausea sets in.

The game has been updated to address bugs, so Im tentatively adding a star to my rating, but Ill have to evaluate the changes thoroughly before knowing for sure. If it just accurately captures the feel of the board game without brokennesses, its at least a four star game. Heres my initial review: Bugs. Shocked that Playdek submitted this in this condition. Its a blast to play multiplayer if you all accept that bugs will mess you up, just treat them as random bad luck when they trash your turn. You wont have to deal with bugs if you have the physical game, but this is a lot cheaper and more portable. Also, better not be prone to seizures or sickened by saccharine graphics.

Please increase the quality of the sound track. This is a really good game though, great deal at the price.

This is the first time Ive posted such a detailed review, but this app needs some help. The game itself is great; I really enjoy it. However, the art design is pretty bad. Looks like the designer used every type of animation s/he knows on one simple game board. Every screen in this app has excessive background animation. It hurts an otherwise fun, simple board game. The game board screen: please get rid of the spinning background immediately - its literally nauseating. Also, why the bubbles? The jumping and rotating runners can be toned down. Once a column has been claimed theres really no need for the cones to continue to jump and flip for the duration of the game; the lit up, pulsating column is a good enough indicator. All other screens: all that background animation is just not necessary. Less is more. The game is a lot of fun. If you can handle how "busy" this version is I would recommend it. If they fix the animation, and I really hope they do, its a four-star game. If they also add online multiplayer it gets five stars. Im looking forward to the next update...

I was so excited to see this as an app! It is my favorite board game, and I actually just recently looked for it as an app (when it wasnt yet released). Yay!

Couldnt agree more but the excessive animation is so bad I deleted the app immediately.

Please: 1. Stop the jumping spinning cones. 2. Stop the spinning background. 3. Stop randomizing the players. I have 4 players saved and it just seems to choose at random, plus duplicating some. I played with Bob, Bob, Susan and Jane yesterday. 4. Let us return to the same player (with our own name), select which of the stored players (our family members) we play with, then let us choose whether its a human player or AI on any stored player.

I like the game but the constant movement on the screen (jumping cones, animation surrounding the board, spinning cones, and dice rolling) is so distracting and eventually gets very annoying. I wish there was a way to turn off animations. Had an anxiety attack while playing.

Nice implementation of a fun push your luck game.

Very fun, and it captures your attention after only a few games. One request: make it possible to listen to our own music in the background?

The game is a blast, but the spinning background makes me nauseas. It would be great if there was an option to turn the spinning animation off.

Great game but disappointed with the app.

Way more fun than a simple little press your luck dice game has any right to be. Theres not a ton of depth involved, but if you love rolling dice and working out odds, this thing is a blast.

The game itself is nice but the background endlessly swirls around and the pieces constantly hop up and down. You cant turn this off. It makes the game unplayable for me.

I was introduced to this game on Second Life and love it. I bought a vintage copy and love it. I was so happy to see it on iOS. But its so hard to tolerate with all the graphics swirling and bubbles popping and pieces jumping all over the place. So unneeded. Please add option to turn that off for us non-ADD users!

Its a classic, fun game, but as others have noted, the overdone animation induces nausea from motion sickness. Im able to play about half a game before it sets in. Provide a setting or two to turn off the jumping pawns, swirling background, and flashing lights, and it will be five stars. As it is, I give it five and take away two for making me sick.
